Default My Last BST Sale

of 2018. If, however, I add another listing before 2019, this will become my Penultimate BST Listing of 2018.

Catch this one. Two pedestrian catchers both of whom are #1 for quite different reasons.

Benny Bengough is the #1 card in 1933 Goudey set, but never a first string catcher in the majors for 10 years. Bengough's claim to fame are the rubber band marks on his top of the stack Goudey card. He also hit 60 fewer home runs than Babe as a member of the 1927 Yankees. In fact he never hit a home run in his entire major league career. His card offered is a BVG 2. He's giving a tip of his mask to his new owner, who could be you.

Moe Berg is the #1 spy in MLB history, but never a first string catcher in the majors for 17 years. Actually he was considered the primary catcher on the 1929 White Sox. He may have hung around longer in the majors with poorer stats than any other 17 year veteran. But "The Catcher Was a Spy" that resulted in both a book and a recent feature film. An odd fellow for sure, but an EX+ card, makes Moe stand out in any Goudey crowd.

Both cards are offered as a lot for $OLD (net to me) with free shipping.
