Default Merry (Steve) Christmas, Net54!

“Drafted by the Twins in 1975, Christmas (who was actually born in December), played parts of three seasons with the Reds, White Sox and Cubs. Though he struggled, going 1-for-17 in his rookie season and 6-for-37 in his career, he had a brief moment of glory in 1984.

While with the White Sox, Christmas hit his only big league home run. Naturally, it was a tie-breaking, pinch-hit, three-run shot against the Twins on Sept. 19. I guess you could call it a Christmas miracle.”
