So, to answer a few questions we've received:
1. Shipping Options: Shipping cost is exact USPS rate plus $5 for time and materials. Items over $100 must be insured. You also have the option of picking up at the Philly Show in Oaks on Nov 30th - Dec 2nd. You MUST let us know which day you are picking up and there will be a $5 charge for that service. Finally you can pick up at our Lehighton, PA warehouse. That is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, and there is no charge for that service. Winnings over $500 will ship insured for free. Future auctions will also have pick up options at timely shows, as well as at our live auctions.
2. Auction end. Like some of the other auctions you must have a preliminary bid placed to be allowed to bid in extended bidding. Unlike most others though the entire auction does not extend every time there is a bid. Each item extends individually. If at 9pm an item has 1 bid, it's closed. If it has more than one bid it extends 15 minutes until there are no additional bids for 15 minutes and then it closes. So while technically some item in the auction could extend indefinitely, the vast majority of it should close at a reasonable hour.
3. Sales Tax: Currently we are charging sales tax on shipments within PA. We also have to charge PA sales tax to in state pick ups (The Philly Show or our warehouse) if you have a valid resale license we need a copy of that so that you can be tax exempt.
4. Future auctions. On November 20th our Pre War Sports Auction begins. We will also have a general collectibles auction in the new year. Everything from Militaria, to breweriana, to post cards, to records and much much more. We can still accept consignments for that sale.
If you have any further questions please post them here as someone else might have the same question!
