Brutus
Thanks again for doing this, Robert. Regardless of the outcome just the thought is appreciated (plus all of the rest of you have already helped with.)
I want to catch up a little. Here is the story and pics Bill (hey Bill) was referring to-
Brutus was in one of Ga's high kill shelters, had become aggressive and shut down especially after his cell-mate had left. Slated to die last Tuesday, we rescued him Monday and went to pick him up on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the shelter people couldn't get him to move out of the corner in his cage; he wouldn't let them leash him and snarled if they came close. Wet food made him get up and move to it but they still couldn't get him. After an hour of trying unsuccessfully, and with the obvious result being put down (killed) , we brought the crate into his cell and with one last try they were able to "lasso him" and lead him into the crate
We carried the crate to my car, I drove to meet a Tennessee rescue who is a trainer, and she sent me these pics 2 hours after getting back home to Seymour, Tenn. I have received a subsequent video of them playing with Brutus --this boy is forever FREE!! The sad part is how many of these dogs don't have a chance because we can't rescue all of them; the good part is that with everyone's help, we are able to rescue lots of them who then get and give so much love to their forever family. thanks to all the net 54'ers who have helped so far!
