Each of these two items got exactly one bid. The Posey Cab was definitely lost in the shuffle. You couldn’t see Posey’s name in the online catalog because it was too far into the title and that text was missing when scrolling through. That’s a pretty important piece of info. $1k + juice is about 20-25% of what it sold for in Hunt.
Congrats to the lone bidder of that item. The other sold for 30% of what i paid and 25% of its final price from Hake’s.
As for my other items I consigned, I’m generally pleased. I just felt these two needed a boost. Clearly my post didn’t help, and I’m not at all surprised.
If you knew you were going to take a bath on some big ticket items, please tell me you wouldn’t do the same in the off chance that you could get one more bidder into the fray. It takes two to tango! These items were done at 12PM EST, not 12AM. Sad.
