Default FT: 1977 Topps Burger King SP Lou Piniella, Raw & Graded...

I have these very cool #23 1977 Burger King Lou Piniella SP's for trade...

The ungraded ones are probably in the ex+ shape range with bumped corners, as you can see in the scans. No creases or anything like that. The other card is obviously a beautiful PSA 8.

These SP's were incredibly tough to come by back in the day, and for us Whopper-eating New Yorkers, there were many, many rumors swirling about as to why 'Sweet Lou' was seemingly omitted from the set. We found out after the season was over that he was apparently added only at the very end of the run, but none of my friends or I ever got one at BK. These cards have always been--and very much still are--virtually impossible to find!!

The only difference between a regular Topps card and its BK counterpart is the number on back: #96 for his Topps card and #23 for this set. If you're unfamiliar with the Burger King cards or want to read a short, interesting piece on them, check out this article I ran across:

If you're interested in trading for any of these guys or have any questions, LMK. I have a 1957 - 1972 need list I can PM to you, or...

I am always interested in these:
• HOF'ers in nice shape from the 50's and 60's, graded or ungraded
• Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente & Mickey Mantle cards
• 1971 Topps Greatest Moments
• Tough to find errors and variations from the 50's through the early 70's
• 1964 Topps Stand-Ups (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1961-67 Topps high numbers and SP's
• 1963 Fleer BB stars and HOF'ers in nice shape
• 1954 Bowman BB stars and HOF'ers in nice shape
• 1954 Red Heart BB (need virtually any in nice shape)
• 1968 Milton Bradley HOF'ers
• 1972 Topps HOF'ers, high numbers and other cards in NM shape and nicely centered to upgrade my sets
• 1972-73 OPC Hockey starter set with stars and/or high numbers
• T-206's
• And I'm probably open to a wide variety of other things as well

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.
