1930's Tarzan Ice Cream signs withJohnny Weissmuller. Another rare piece from my sports advertising collection.

Weissmuller is the famed olympic swimmer and tarzan actor.

These two signs are lithographed paper, that were plastic wrapped onto cardboard many years ago, most likely in the 1930's when they were displayed on the wall of a soda shop. The signs are not laminated or glued onto the cardboard. They remain as original. They were sent to soda shops as a larger poster with three or four different posters for the shop owner to cut out and mount on the wall.

I have had these a long time, and have not seen many, and the ones I have seen were cut out pretty jagged. This set is the best I have seen, for being hand cut.
