Sounds like you are doing good to me.
I am not a memorabilia guy per se but some of my cards and memorabilia are displayed and not protected as well.
I don't let any direct sun (or indirect sun for that matter) hit any of it and don't worry too much other than keeping the stuff cool and dry.
