All of this confusion could have been avoided by simply having the full date of an auction's end specified in the title of the thread and by editing that title after the auction is over with (for example) ***SOLD***
While I have always adhered to most of this in my auctions, I have, based on this particular thread being 'brought back', added the full YEAR of the auction ends on all my listings.
I have also PM'd the auction's OP and ask that he edit his title to show that the card has been SOLD.
Of course, it would be fairly easy for anyone interested in the card to notice the year clearly shown on each post...but, editing to SOLD may help those who 'fall into that trap'.
I further realize that, by adding a post to this 'old' thread, I am muddying the waters even further, but I'm hoping all this will be read by the right people and appropriate action will be taken to clean up the BST to where only active auctions are positioned on the current page.
Thanks,
Raymond
