Somehow I ended up with three 1971 Topps sets. Looking to sell one of them. Pick your favorite.
The "Platinum". This set is in shockingly high grade. The very worst card is probably Ex/Mt and off center. I'd say it's around 1% MINT as in I would give these cards a "9". 30% NM/MT - including several key stars (like Clemente). 50% NM including the majority of stars. And 19% either Ex/Mt or significantly off center. The high numbers are the weakest series but still average NM. This set should probably have most of the stars graded and I may decide to do that. One card is graded (BVG 8).
Price = $2900 OBO
The "Gold". Still a very nice set but nowhere near the quality of the "Platinum". Roughly 3% NM/MT. 22% NM. 25% EX/MT. 20% EX. 5% VG/EX or lesser. With the balance of 25% being notably off-center although most are reasonably sharp (some as good as NM/MT o/c). Very few "dogs". The high numbers are the weakest series - probably averaging around EX/EX+
Price = Negotiable
The "Bronze". An inconsistently nice grouping of 742 different cards - missing 10 high number commons. There are still some very solid cards - perhaps 10% NM or NM+ (many with centering issues). 15% Ex/Mt. 25% EX. 30% VG/EX. 20% worse mostly VG/VG+ but some real junk as well including a few commons that were recolored. Centering affects a chunk of this set. Clemente is very weak - Other stars are generally Vg/Ex with quite a few better.
SOLD
Random singles. Probably around 40 including Bench and several high numbers. These range from G to Ex/Mt a few are recolored. Don't even know what to do with these ... so I guess they will be included with the set of your choice.
SOLD
Serious inquiries only please. Would break up the "bronze set" if someone wanted a significant number of individual cards.
