Other than Ruth, no ones collectibles are more valuable and on the rise then The MICK!
April 17, 1951, New York Yankees Opening Day Program - Mickey Mantle's Major League Debut!
Mantle was originally given uniform number 6 to wear, as noted in the program. He wore number 6 until he was sent down to the minors on July 15th for more seasoning. It was only upon his return, later in the season, that he was given his familiar number 7.
The Yankees were victorious in the game, by a 5-0 margin, with Mantle singling home Phil Rizzuto with his only hit in four trips in the bottom of the sixth.

These are the
only 3 that I could find scouring the internet and about 30 auction houses history.
This program is so rare it has NEVER been at Heritage, SCP, Huggins & Scott, MEARS, or Hunt Live!!!! 5 Big Time Auction Houses! Doesn't seem to be too many of these out there or if so they are being held on tightly by Mantle collectors!
The program is in very good condition, all pages firmly in tact, including covers, some chipping to back cover and small area of paper loss (scrape) on front cover right center as seen in pix below. No writing except on scorecard page itself. Several pages inside, showing statistics, articles and advertisements throughout.
