A nice copy of Christy Mathewson's classic pitching tome, Pitching in A Pinch. This is the First Edition First Printing which was issued by Putnam in 1912. It is chock full of pitching advice and stories of famous players from the Deadball Era. The book is in Good condition and structurally sound, there is general wear as shown and dimming of the gold embossing on the spine. There are 18 fantastic photo plates in the book, another one of the ones depicting umpires is missing. $300 shipped.
