I thought Eddie Collins may be one of the players with the most amount of different types. His long career and the span between tobacco, early caramel and into the gum card years certainly makes me think of him....

When I first started
seriously collecting, I thought I'd go for a run of Eddie Collins cards. I think you're right. He probably has the most amount of different types for pre-war, although Cobb played in the same era and made his way into many of the <5 card sets from that era (for which good ol' Eddie didn't).
