Well, if I were selling it, I would've been thrilled to get 150 bucks. That's what I seemed to get for very nice NRMT photos of 1960s superstars. I've always felt that Emmons is the premier post-war photographer. But his stuff isn't super-rare, and has never been that pricey.
Oh well.... I know where I'm going to consign photos when the time comes.

Yes, emmons does hold a premium. I have seen them exceed 1000 multiple times. I have also seen them go for the range you speak of including the one below. As always, it depends on the image and how many peeps love it who are bidding/how much money they have

Any one image is rare. But i agree.. went high..but not that high for two emotional bidders.. 1k can come quick!
