KILLER rare program from 1912 with the Chicago Cubs taking on the Chicago White Sox for the City Championship!
For those unfamiliar:
CITY CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (1903-1942)
The City Series represents the most competitive games ever played between the two teams. Held concurrent with the World Series, the (usual) best-of-seven series was Chicago’s own World Series, played for city bragging rights. Just as in the World Series, the players received part of the gate receipts, with 60% of the Players’ Pool going to the winner. The 1906 World Series games between the Cubs and White Sox are included.
The White Sox won the 1912 City Series, 4-3, amid similar accusations, that the Cubs who were up 3-0 before losing four straight laid down in protest of unpopular manager Frank Chance.
This would be the last time Tinkers Evers and Chance would ever take the field together as members of the Cubs!
Someone has a Ticket to it currently up on Ebay:

Program is 20 pages, amazing pictures of all of the Cubs (leading me to believe this was the program for the home Cubs games, as the White Sox are not pictured, other then Comiskey. Also, by the Cubs (Bears) on the front cover and throughout the book). Unscored. Back Cover has some issues as seen in pix, but all pages firmly attached, just great condition for being 105 years old!
