Let's wrap this mess up by answering my question to the best of my ability.
"How many HOFers suited up for the game?"
13 players suited up and played in the game.
1 player (Pennock) suited up, but did not play.
2 umpires (McGowan and Connolly) suited up and took the field.
2 managers were Hofers, Huggins who suited up and Mack who wore a suit, but not a uniform.
If we count Mack's suit as suiting up, the answer is 18.
If we only count uniforms and not Mack's suit, the answer is 17.
If we only count baseball uniforms and not umpires uniforms, the answer in 15.
If there is another game, not an All-Star or old timers game, with
more than 13 players who played in a single game, please report it here.
