As someone who knew Johnny V's mom for 20 years, I can tell you that he and his mom had a unique bond. When he says that he saw her everyday and talked to her multiple times each day, there is no exaggeration there. It was every day.

I once visited her while she was in the same rehab center as my grandmother. I was in her room for about 90 minutes and in that time, Johnny called her and then showed up for her when it was time to eat. He was already there earlier in the day as well. Whenever I visited my grandmother, there was a good chance he was there with his mom.

Everything he did for fun was still planned around being able to see her within that same day. Basically, he never put anything before her.

I know some people who knew her for 30+ years and they would always ask about his mom whenever they saw him because she made a lasting impression on everyone she met. A tremendous loss for him, his family and friends of the family.
