Default Vintage Ball Collectors & anyone from San Antonio / Texas

1911 Mini Reach American League Baseball & Glove National Pro Baseball Convention (with Original Box!)

I've never seen another of this exact one and searched over 10 major auction houses, can't find one. Could be the lone survivor!

A similar one went at REA back in 2008 for $1300. (Although mine is in better condition and is a glove as opposed to a catchers mitt, both very cool)

Here is an article I found on the actual event itself from 1911:

BASEBALL MOGULS DON WAR CLOTHES
Coast League Leads in Fight to Be Opened Against Optional Agreement SAN ANTONIO, Tex., Nov. 14.—A majority of the delegates to the 1911 convention of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues arrived early tonight on a special train from St. Louis. The delegation was met at Austin by a local committee, and after a reception by Governor Colquitt was escorted to San Antonio. The opening session will be held tomorrow morning. Preparations for the meeting were made on the train by the board of arbitration. A vigorous contest is promised by the opponents of the "optional agreement" practice. It is contended by its opponents that present conditions permit the cornering of practically all available talent, but they want a rule that will hold all minor clubs hard and fast. In the fight against the optional agreement are the Pacific Coast, Texas, Western Canada, Southwest Texas and Wisconsin-Illinois leagues. Joe Gardner, owner of the Dallas club in the Texas league, will advocate a stronger central government for the national association, with a president who will devote all his time to the interests of the minor leagues. Among those who arrived are Roger Bresnahan of the St. Louis Nationals, President Murphy of the Chicago Nationals, Horace Fogel of the Philadelphia Nationals, J. H. Parrell, secretary of the National association, and George Tebeau of the Kansas City American association club.
