After 43 years of searching, I'm very happy to finally find a ticket stub to HOF'er Phil Neikro's 9-0 no-hitter vs. the Padres on 8/5/73.
"Knucksie" struck out 4 and walked 3 in his pitching gem.
Not only was this ticket a
bastard to find, the USPS added to my agony by losing my package for 43 days on it's trip from the west coast.
Finding this ticket now brings my collection to a grand total of 203 tickets to different no-hit games dating back to 1901. Phil Niekro was the last HOF'er no-hit ticket that I needed to complete my run from 1940 forward.
