Not intending to bump this tread (it's new and at the top already) or post info that is inappropriate, but I did not know about Tony Thorton until I just researched it.

Tony Horton retired in 1970, with 2228 career at-bats, after stress issues and a suicide attempt. He never appeared on a Topps card, and is the player with the most at bats in the Topps era not to have a card. I am unsure why he never had a Topps card but he did have a 1971 Kelloggs...
