Thanks, guys. I was happy to finally grab a card of the godfather of Detroit baseball. He was on the Detroit Wolverines from the very beginning until the very end and then had the Tigers' first ballpark named after him. Not too bad. I wonder if he would have been honored like that had he not endured the horrible train accident where he lost his legs. He had an interesting life. He became a china painter in his later years.
...and as long as I can read the stuff on the back of the card, that's good enough. Nice Anson card, JW. It's almost centered as perfectly as my Bennett! The top corners appear too pointy, though. Those could have injured a 19th century child.
