Gary Carter--Pre-rookie autographed album page. The original collector has noted that the autograph was signed on 8/14/1974 while Carter was with the Memphis Blues, just over a month before his MLB debut on 9/16! $75.

Don Drysdale--Rookie year example . Blue ballpoint signature removed from a 1956 album page. Measures 1.5"X2.5". $65.

Russ Hodges vintage 3X5 signed in bold fountain pen. Uncommon, as few collectors were writing to broadcasters during Hodges' lifetime. $375.

The rest are rookie-era autographed sheets all obtained in-person at Crosley Field by the original collector. These were part of a large collection of similar sheets purchased several years ago. While these players' autographs are of course common in other forms, early examples like these are quite rare. Notice how tiny some of these players signed when first asked for their autographs! These sheets measure about the size of a standard-sized baseball card.
