Those are the older, non recessed cubes. Most newer ones have a recessed space where the card sits so that no pressure, front or back, is placed on the card.
Putting them in sleeves is also a great idea if there is any free space around the card.

I had 2 of my most valuable cards in those non recessed cubes for over 25 yrs, but I ensured I didn't screw them down tight back then and I also laid them on their sides rather than flat to help keep the weight off of them.

They have now been removed (since joining Net54) and reside in top loaders with sleeves.
