I acquired a group of items related to a Chicago sportswriter who was active from about 1906 to 1925. This item was in his collection.
Its a 1910 invitation to a banquet celebrating the dedication of Comiskey Park. The first game was on July 1, 1910 and the banquet for this invitation was held that evening.
The invitation is blank inside and has been folded horizontally when it was originally mailed. The back has some residue from being in a scrapbook.
