Default FS: 1916 World Series Program Red Sox Vs. Brooklyn -SOLD

A very much in damand early World Seried program. This was Babe Ruth's second World Series appearance (in just his second full major league season). The 1916 program is tougher to find than its 1915 counterpart.

I had a 1916 program like this one that I consigned with Mile High last year. That one was unrestored and likely in worse shape than this one was in before its restoration. That one fetched $2,100.

This one has been restored, mostly with regard to re-binding. The original staples have been replaced and it has been rebound with mesh that makes it incredibly strong and is virtually indetectable. The last photo shows a close up of the mesh used to bind the pages. You have to look super hard in order to see it. Very professionally done.

There is a light vertical crease to mention as well, which is very common for programs of this vintage. There is also some very minor staining/toning at the bottom of some of the pages.

I am asking $1,450 delivered on this fantastic piece.
