One thing I like about this approach is you can grab the safes and take them with you in an emergency like flood waters coming or a wild fire. When we had a wildfire near our house, I just hoped my heavy fire safe would protect the contents long enough if the house caught on fire. The thing I don't like, is these safes are pretty easy to open. They will keep away the thief who just spots an opportunity to quickly steal something, but these small safes wouldn't stop someone who was more determined.
