Al, unfortunately, it seems that the profit motive assumed control of the hobby a long time ago, and probably most of those engaged in it now are more motivated by security concerns than actual love of the ephemera itself. This seems to drive terminology, so that unentombed cards are viewed with suspicion and even disdain by many. I think, if old cardboard lovers dominated the hobby, plastic coated cards would have a pejorative term slapped on them: maybe something borrowed from current popular culture - scary and horrifying - like "zombiefied cards?" Just a thought.
