Default Single Signed Rogers Hornsby 1930s red and black stiched official league Ball REA

A great write up by REA, still a steal for a playing days Hornsby though a light signature.

George H. Sisler Official League Ball" signed by Rogers Hornsby in black fountain pen (grading "4") across the sweet spot. This ball was manufactured by the Sisler-Nelson Sporting Goods Company, which was founded shortly after Sisler's retirement from baseball in 1932. Sisler sold his interest in the company in 1939, thereby conclusively dating the ball to the 1930s. As such, this is an extremely early Hornsby single and was most likely signed by him during his days as a player/manager for the St. Louis Browns between the years 1933 and 1937. (The vast majority of Hornsby singles in the hobby today date from after his election to the Hall of Fame in 1942.) Hornsby was the greatest right-handed hitter who ever lived and is one of only two modern-day players to bat over .400 in a season three times (Ty Cobb is the other). His .358 lifetime average is also second only to Cobb's. Excellent condition overall, with exceptionally bold manufacturer's stampings. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA.

Estimates, they sell between 2-5 even for a post playing days ball.

Currently just 1k!
