Default H804-2

Kevin,
These Trade Cards are fairly well catalogued. These Brownies trade cards are from the H804-2 set from 1880. The cards you have from the 1888 Brooks and Sons are the "overprint" stamp on the older H804-2 cards. Many, many companies/teams/businesses used these for Advertising (sometimes called Advertising cards). SGC and PSA label these types of cards differently. For example, with your cards above, PSA calls them all H804-2 Brownies (listed in Baseball in 1880). SGC labels them based on the stamp on the front. There are likely multiple different listing for these in the SGC pop reports.

Some "overprint" stamps are more sought after, especially those with team schedules on the reverse.

As far as having SGC label these consistently, I cannot provide much guidance there.

Dave
