Keith o mentions this very card in a proof article he wrote...

there a few "type 1's" that we now know were "not part of the final design of the card" and were essentially re designed before the final printing....

"type 1 proofs" as dubbed by the t206 resource . com....

alperman, pastorius, McIntyre, Matty, Shulte (front view), nicholls....were all pre final design cards......

these certain proofs within the proofs are very special.........either the board or the final artist re designed them for some reason before the final approved design for final production was approved....they are one of a kind pieces of history....

thanks to adam g, hank l, chris b, Erick s, jantz m, bryan l,jamie b, jim r, mike s, wonka, and so many others im so sorry I haven't mentioned, helping getting this card for me
Holy smokes, Johnny!

Based on his T206 proofs article from way back, I assumed the Alperman no stripes on cap proof was firmly in the grip of KO. Simply awesome -- for me on par with the Matty proof. You da man!
