Also, in his day, Chase was considered one of the best in the sport. His defense at 1B was ground breaking and easily the best in the league. His offense was excellent as well. He may well have been a HOFer if not for his "issues". Who knows what his stats might have looked like had he not thrown games constantly. He also likely could have played a few more years as well. He was still going strong when he "left" the game.

"Prince Hal" was certainly a larger than life personality. All of this, in addition to his infamous nature, is the reason he is highly collectible today.
