Ted, congrats on finishing the set! I had seen that thread when I was researching. Despite not having seen any uncut strips numbered or not, it appears to me that there were likely only 6 strips printed. I am theorizing they were issued with card numbers 1-8, 9-16, 17-24, 25-32, 33-40, and 41-48. The last strip 41-48 must have been initially printed without the card numbers. All of the numbers I have seen in that range appear to be hand written.
