Thanks everyone! Love of all of the nice feedback, it's my pleasure to share this little collection with all of you. When I laid them all out on the table to take the picture yesterday, it really was a cool moment for me - really experiencing the thrill that keeps us collecting.
Lou, I am also working on a post-1950 MVP rookie collection which I am nearing completion of. Then my wife and I having a baby, so I imagine I'll be shutting down the acquisitions for awhile.
3XDAD, Cool idea about doing the year of winning. I thought about doing that one day too - sort of a real life version of the 1982 K-Mart MVP set that, at least for me, was my first glimpse of "vintage" (pre-1980 for this kid

) cards.
Jason - yes, the modern card world is, again, not one I have much interest in navigating. On the MVP side, the only real rookie of Dustin Pedroia was an autograph issue, so I sort of held my nose as I paid more for that than I did for some of my Hall of Fame rookies. Truly absurd. Anyway- I'll get that '85 Pendleton yet.
Thanks again, everyone!
