I recently cracked out 20 "old" GAI T206s and submitted them to SGC.
Several with minor paper loss on the back had been overgraded and they did receive lower grades, which I expected.
All of them were encapsulated and received number grades. Apart from the paper loss group, they crossed fairly well with a few marginally higher, a few the same and a few marginally lower. I was not pleasantly surprised, except for the fact that all were graded.
When the time comes to sell, they will do better in he SGC holder than with the GAI label, despite the overall grade reduction. I am a believer in cracking before submitting.
