I THINK that the Whiskey would be just fine - since spirits are distilled and not fermented like wine, they should last almost indefinitely as long as they don't evaporate!
We DID finish the last few fingers of a 1956 Bottle of Crown Royal from this Estate! WONDERFULLY smooth! Couldn't sell a few fingers...AND didn't want to waste it either... I SAW NO OTHER OPTION!
