Write a note with his secretary or him and see what they say. Quick related story-I needed Earl Wilson to finish my 1968 Tigers piece, but he wouldn't do any shows. Finally, i had my wife right him a letter at work. Next thing you know, his secretary calls and invites her (not me) to bring the piece in. He mentions how he doesn't like signing autographs, but appreciated the note and so he was making an exception, so she got the autograph and finished my piece. Unfortunately, he died a few months later.
