Your scan is decent quality, but without actually viewing the card in person it's
difficult to be 100% certain. I think you're onto something in regards to the left
side of the card. It does appear to be either a crease or an impression on the
surface of the card. It's my understanding any crease in a card will automatically
put the card at a level "3." So, if the grader's opinion is that there were no other
flaws, than yes, a grade "3" would be appropriate. Hope this helps.
