Greg, from an purest point of view, I agree and certainly understand Your assessment.

However, none of the grading companies have to justify to anyone, why they elected to grade a card harshly.

Granted, the owner may choose to resubmit, but it is what it is, until a better assessment occurs.

Honestly, grading of any card is so subjective, that sometimes I wonder if one out of three graders might see a tiny phantom hairline flaw under magnification, on a card that otherwise appears flawless. Thus, it comes back with a grade that is less than expected.

I choose not to discuss the associated political issues between the various services, other than it seems more common with crossovers, that there are more disagreements than agreements with regard to the assigned grades.
