Default 1920 Peggy Popcorn Cards

The stories behind our cards is what is most interesting many times. Recently this Peggy Popcorn card was sold as part of my type collection. Right after that I got this email below so will share it with the board.

Hi, I sold the 6 Peggy Popcorn cards to XXXXX in 2006 in Toronto,Canada for xxx. I bought the 6 cards in Edmonton ,Alberta at a coin /sportcard store by an very elderly woman who said she lived near the store. She brought 6 in a glass frame to see if dealer would be interested .I bought the 6 cards from her and she was to sell me the other 14 cards from set a few days later that were unprotected but I lost her # and me or dealer has not seen her again. She was from Winnipeg and that her husband had passed away years ago who owned the cards.I just today Googled the set and I did not realize how rare the set is and I would have liked to get the rest of the set from her in 2006. I once had a very fine hockey card collection but only a small amount of baseball cards. One sports card show promoter at the time said I should haven't of sold those 1920 peggys popcorn cards . Thanks ....xxx..... Edmonton,Alberta
