Default T216 prices

T216 are thinly traded and it's difficult to set exact market value on individual cards. I don't know of anyone who is attempting to put together a set. I'm not even sure there is a consensus on what a set would comprise of..Old Cardboard lists the set at 73 cards...on the SGC Set Registry they have the number complete at 105. It depends upon whether you throw all the backs in together like they do in T206, or if you only collect cards with the same ad backs.

Most people are just buying these as "types" and would rather have one in the condition that the Shean is in, since they are only buying one card ever from the set. I collect them in player back runs, so I would have been ready to pay a retail price on say for example the Bresnahan, had I been doing a Bresnahan run. I thought the Shean sold a little low, however I was the second underbidder, about $8 from the final sales price. Had I really wanted the Shean I would have bid around $401 on ebay to make sure that I got it, so it would have sold for more...
