I'd say that's worthy of sticking one toe in the door, yet knowing there's a long way to go. To deny that is to not have watched him over the course of a year. Outsiders just don't know what this guy brings. His biggest problem is that he plays so many innings and takes such a beating that his body likely won't hold up.

It takes a while for people to get what a catcher like Perez brings to the table. Same thing happened here with Yadier Molina. But one the national media got it, now they can't help but fall all over themselves gushing about Yadi. I feel like Perez is a very under rated player.
