Yogi Berra Spalding 1514 Pro Model Catchers Mask

This mask is in impeccable shape for its age… This mask is identical to that which was worn by Yogi during the middle 50’s. I have seen a few similar examples on big auctions sites (Heritage, REA, & Grey Flannel) where 2 of the 3 signed, and each of the three were touted as game Used (They all sold in the 5 figure range)… I did find a few other examples on Berra Spalding 1514 Pro Model Catchers Mask

I have seen a few similar examples on big auctions sites (Heritage, REA, & Grey Flannel) where 2 of the 3 signed, and each of the three were touted as game Used (They all sold in the 5 figure range)… I did find a few other examples on ebay when I initially picked up the mask 4 or 5 months ago, but the only one that is listed today, or can be located in closed auctions is a gamer with a current asking price of $17k… Now in doing some research that despite an auctionhouse claim that these masks were made exclusively for Yogi, that they were actually available at retail… That said, this is likely to be a retail model (though there is no discernable difference between the two)… Mask shows use, has incredible Yogi markings, and would make a great addition to any collection…
