LEWIS "HACK" WILSON SIGNED COMPLETE PERSONAL CHECK Extremely rare personal check made out entirely in Wilson's own hand. Dated Aug 20th 1946.
Comes with a formal coa from jsa and coa from Jim Stinson Sports. Measures 2 3/4 x 6. Minor vertical crease in center barely noticeable and ever so slight creasing far upper left corner None of the bank cancel marks touch the signature. Only a very small handful of Wilson checks exist in the hobby and this one is likely the finest overall example I've ever offered.
Over a career that spanned 1923-34 for the Giants, Cubs, Dodgers, Phillies he led the league in home runs four times and in RBI twice in 1930 he set a still standing major league record of an amazing 191 RBI in a single season.
