Default T207s: Haze on the glaze

When T207 brown borders are found in great condition, they are truly a thing of beauty.

Some have withstood the test of time better than others, with very little cracking to the glaze surface on the card fronts.

Whereas, others have developed a "hazing to the glazing."

Anyone have a theory as to why some have become cloudy with regards to the glaze surface?

Is it moisture, sun, bad glaze or all of the above?

Thanks,

Patrick
