Image Only Front Jackie Robinson Rookie Roadster (Large).jpg
The art spoke to several emotions within me concerning Robinson. Jackie broke the color line, and it would seem impossible to ever separate him from having done that.
It seems we sometimes lose sight of what a great ballplayer he was, and in some way this image was done to correct that.
As Jackie rounds third during Spring Training, the famed scoreboard from Ebbets Field is behind the fence behind him, and the sun shines brightly upon him. This is meant as a "fore-cursor" to the good things that were to come his way on the baseball field.
