Why not? The NCAA knew about concussions and had a recommended protocol for dealing with them - in the 1930s. The NFL ignored all that, lied about the damage concussions do, hired a non-brain expert to be their concussions guy, and so on. And, even after implementing a protocol, you still got nonsense like the Colt McCoy incident.

I'm not saying I'd support a lawsuit filed by a current player but somebody who retired 10-20 years ago? Sure thing.
