Hi Pat - the pics arrived today - they're great.

A quick magnification revealed a sign on the right field wall that reads "next nite game June 22nd."

Since there are lights, but no CF scoreboard, the time period for these pics would be 1940-1950 (lights were installed late in 1939 and the scoreboard came in 1951).

The only years in this timeframe that the Sox had a home game scheduled on June 22 was 1940, '46, '48 and '50. The only year that they had a scheduled NIGHT game on June 22 was 1948.

When I have more time I will magnify the out of town scoreboard and then cross reference the overall AL and NL schedule for 1948 to see if I can come closer to pinpointing the game, or at least the series.
