Re: 1) Look into buying and selling on COMC.com; really fun for flippers and with about $3000 in cash and another $2000 in cards, I've increased the value of my cards for sale to about $22K in less than a year. Be careful with which port sale you purchase, and you can make more money to invest in cards you want for your own collection or to resell at a profit.
Play some of the challenges on there and figure out what you really like. I've been buying raw 1955 Topps All-American football and 1952 Topps baseball cards, but may not keep them long term. If you need help figuring the site out, I can point you to some primers or give you advice by PM.
