If you'd pardon a philosophical question, and I really don't mean this any sort of sarcastic way at all: why sealed sets? Doesn't that take away the "fun" part of owning a complete set? Seems like those years would be fun for him to actually handle the cards like we did when we were kids. Just wondering.
And to be a bit self-serving:

I do have hand collated complete nm sets from 83 to 90 that I'd be willing to trade for old stuff if you need any of those. I'd even trade them for 1 really good card equivalent in value.
