Default Question for Baseball experts (historian)

Hey, regarding Pre-war baseball if a game ended in a tie, did the players stats count?

I know when reading recently about the Homer in the Gloamin, 1938, they stated that had Hartnett not hit that home run with 2 outs in the 9th to win the game that the game would have been replayed the following day and they would have played a brand new game not where it left off, like they do today.

So I'm assuming then that the Stats would not have counted, or would they, anyone know?
